Cheapest Bite in Town

Fried Dumpling
99 Allen St
New York, NY 10002

*** (Worth a Visit)

This tiny storefront probably won’t dish out the best dumplings you have ever eaten. Also, the Asian woman behind the counter hardly speaks any English and some knowledge of sign language is probably necessary to be able to place an order.
That’s just about why I've rated it only three stars instead of five. But if there is one reason why you should travel to this minuscule joint in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, it is this - you get five flavorful pork-and-chive-stuffed fried dumplings and five succulent mini pork buns for a measly two dollars! Besides, the communication gap at the counter only adds to the fun in this incredibly cheap dining experience.
