A Falafel on MacDougal

Mamoun’s Falafel
119 MacDougal St
New York, NY 10012

*** (Worth a Visit)

Mamoun’s Falafel has a reputation that precedes itself. I know of people who come from the farthest corners of the globe just to get a bite of the falafel sandwich at Mamoun’s.

If you’re an avid meat eater like I am, you’d probably never think that fried balls of spiced chickpeas stuffed in a folded pita bread and topped with hummus, salads and hot sauce are worth getting excited about, until you eat at Mamoun’s. This 37 year old Middle-eastern eatery has some great Baklava for your sweet tooth too. Just don’t let the thought of having to wait in line for eons to place your order stop you from going there.
